The nerve cells of the brain produce tiny electrical currents, but these can often be detected at the surface of the scalp and magnified. With this method we can measure and visualise what is happening in the brain as we do certain tasks, millisecond by millisecond.
Our current work is looking at what happens in the brain as we do two very different tasks at the same time. We are also re-examining some old assumptions regarding how features are combined in early vision.
